The Huron Valley Promise was created by a group of area business, education, government and civic leaders dedicated to improving the future of all Huron Valley students and the Huron Valley community. The Promise is a financial support system designed to initiate savings accounts to be used for post secondary education. Promise grants are given to Huron Valley Schools’ 2009-2010 kindergarten parents (for children age 6 or under) to begin saving for post high school education.

By investing as little as $25, participants will receive a one time grant of $100 to begin a college savings plan for a child. This money is placed in an investment account called the 529 MESP State Sponsored Savings Plan. The $100 one time contribution is free from the Huron Valley Promise. An additional $200 in matching state contributions are available for those with qualifying incomes.
