Huron Valley Promise
The Huron Valley Promise was created by a group of area business, education, government and civic leaders dedicated to improving the future of all Huron Valley students and the Huron Valley community.
The Promise provides grants to add to savings accounts for post-secondary education. Promise grants are given to Huron Valley Schools’ kindergarten parents or guardians (for children aged 6 or under) to begin saving for post high school education.
By investing as little as $25, participants will receive a one-time grant of $100 to begin a college savings plan for a child. This money is placed in an investment account called a 529 MESP State Sponsored Savings Plan. The $100 one-time contribution is free from the Huron Valley Promise.
Partnership with Social Workers
The Promise partners with the elementary school social workers to assist in identifying families that could benefit from this program. For more information or qualifying conditions, please contact your school’s social worker.
Huron Valley Promise Mission
The Huron Valley Promise provides community support for the students of Huron Valley Schools to pursue a post-secondary education. This encourages students to pursue post-secondary education in the skilled trades, community college or university. By generating highly-educated residents, the Promise supports a prosperous and thriving community.
